Job description
We currently have a full-time position available for a an apprentice Truck Mechanic at our Fredericton (Hanwell) location.
This is an excellent opportunity for a team player with a contagious can-do attitude in the workplace. We’re looking for an apprentice or junior diesel mechanic responsible for general maintenance of large transport trucks. This can be a physically demanding position that requires the candidate to be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities and requirements:
Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools
Perform scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance service
Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Review work orders and discuss work with Service Advisor
Remove & replace truck &/or trailer tires
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications:
Truck Mechanic License preferred
Previous dealership experience is considered an asset
Computer diagnostics & repair skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Schedule:
9-hour shift
Monday to Friday
Possible overtime
