Job description
We currently have a full-time position available for a Parts Assistant at our Salisbury location.
This role involves a mix of inventory handling, shipping/receiving, parts organization, and customer support, and plays a key role in keeping the shop and service team running efficiently. This is a physically demanding position requiring regular lifting, movement of parts, and working in both warehouse and yard environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts and materials, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
Organize and maintain parts inventory, including bin locations, labeling, and storage systems
Pick and prepare parts orders for internal technicians and external customers
Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment
Load, unload, and move parts using appropriate equipment (including forklifts where applicable)
Perform local parts deliveries and pickups as required
Maintain clean, organized, and safe parts storage and warehouse areas
Support the Parts and Service teams with timely and accurate parts handling
Complete paperwork and system entries accurately (shipping/receiving, inventory, orders)
Follow all company safety procedures in a warehouse and yard environment
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in a parts, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred (truck & trailer or heavy equipment is an asset)
Valid driver’s license (required)
Forklift experience or willingness to be trained
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling parts and paperwork
Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory system
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Schedule:
9-hour shift
Monday to Friday
