Job description

We currently have a full-time position available for a Tire Technician at our Hartland location.

This is a great opportunity for a team-orientated person who brings a contagious can-do attitude to the workplace. The Tire Technician will perform inspection, diagnostic, adjustment, service, and repair on all types of vehicles. This is a physically demanding position and the candidate must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities and requirements:

  • ERS (Emergency Road Service) tire calls

  • Assists in other areas of the Warehouse and Service Department as necessary

  • Perform tire removal, installation, and repair services safely for all types of vehicles

  • Includes removing wheel assemblies, dismounting tires, repairing, inflating, and installing repaired, or, replacement tires, and reinstalling wheel assemblies according to standard operating procedures

  • Conduct diagnostics, evaluate reparability of damage, and choose and complete proper repair methods

  • Provide a high level of customer service in line with our company goals

  • Follow work orders procedures and communicate with front counter staff the work done and the work required

  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and professionalism to represent a positive company image

  • Getting tires ready for recapping

  • Receiving tires

  • Completing tire inventory

  • Assisting techs in the shop as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must work independently with minimum supervision, take initiative and accountability

  • Follow instructions quickly and efficiently, paying attention to detail

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving abstract

  • Organizational skills a must

  • Mechanical aptitude is a must

Schedule:

  • 9-hour shift

  • Monday to Friday

  • Overtime

  • Weekend availability

  • On-call after hours
